In-person Colour Consultations
Interior or Exterior
An In-Person Colour Consultation is the ideal way to choose colour. With this type of consultation I come to you with individual paint colour samples from the brand of paint that is to be used on your project. We then work together to come up with a colour palette that you love.
I am in independent Colour Consultant and not affiliated with any paint company. I work with major brands such as Benjamin Moore, Farrow and Ball, Sherwin Williams and Dulux.
I work with residential and commercial clients
as well as strata hold buildings and housing co-ops.
Do you only do consultations in-person?
I do both in-person and online consultations.
In Vancouver and surrounding areas all consultations are done at your home. I also do In-Person consultations for clients on Vancouver Island and Sunshine Coast as well as Kelowna.

How does it work?
A colour consultation is a collaborative process, you are very much involved. I’ll get a sense of what you feel you would like to have and then show you various options. During this time I’ll also suggest colours you may not have thought of. I’m also guiding you and giving you a great deal of information regarding colour and colour placement. Clients find the process fun and interesting.
What do I need to give you?
I don’t really need anything from you before-hand. I work best in the space and it’s my job to ensure that everything flows together and all colours are harmonious.
How long does it take?
There’s no one answer to that question as several factors are involved, including how many different colours are chosen, complexity of architecture, and your own decision making process. However, as a general rule, most interior consultations take approximately 90 minutes. But keep in mind it could be longer.
How can I pay?
Payment for local clients is by email money transfer.
Fees:
Interior Colour Consultations.
Interior in-person colour consultations are $180.00 per hour with a one hour minimum.
After the first hour I charge in half hour increments of $90.00 per half hour.
Exterior Colour Consultations.
Exterior in-person colour consultations are $300.00 for 90 minutes with a 90 minute minimum.
After 90 minutes I charge in half hour increments of $90.00 per half hour.
Why is there a different rate for interior and exterior colour consultations?
Your consultation doesn’t end when I leave. Exterior colour consultations are much more detailed and require more follow-up work on my part.
An exterior colour consultation is a big commitment, you will have to live with those colours on average another 15 years, it’s well worth it to ensure the colours are not only the best choice but also that colour placement is properly executed.
These fees are for in-person residential colour consultations only and do not apply to online consultations or strata consultations.
If you are on Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands or the Sunshine Coast please contact me for my rates. Naturally, once a ferry ride is involved it requires me to charge differently. I do my best to make these fees as accessible as possible.
