In one way, shape or form, I have spent my entire life working with colour.

My creative career began in photography. Later I went on to study fine arts, but always felt the longing to explore three dimensional surfaces.

I studied set design at Studio 58, the theatre training program at Langara College. This gave me an understanding of how things change when going from 2 to 3 dimensions. I also studied scenic painting and props making.

While I draw upon skills acquired from the theatre and fine arts, the truth is that my approach to colour is highly intuitive. I know what’s current, but have no real interest in following the pack. Colour is an experience that is unique to each individual. I see my role as that of a guide. There to help lead my clients to the combination of colours that will bring joy and harmony into their lives.

I am also a visual artist, I work in whatever medium moves me at a particular moment. I am a dancer and a creative problem solver. I can make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear - or I can damn well try. I am a colourist, a photographer, a builder, a painter, a craftsperson. I am a thinker outside of the box. I am eternally curious.

I have come to realize that I have a gift for making things beautiful and for making beautiful things. That the very best thing I can do is to share that gift with other people - with you. Because beauty, by its very nature, is meant to be shared.
